National parks of Dalmatia by bicycle and boat
Croatia has a beautiful and well-indented coast with thousands of islands, reefs and bays. Numerous romantic ruins, charming hills, countless natural beauties and phenomena are waiting to be discovered. We invite you to spend a week on a ship cruising between the mainland and the sea. Good cuisine, an open-minded crew and knowledgeable tour guides are expecting you. You will visit two national parks and the islands of Central Dalmatia, starting from Trogir. Highlights include UNESCO-Protected old town of Trogir, Primosten, Sibenik with its famous cathedral, Zadar, National Parks Krka-Waterfalls and Kornati Islands. Trogir can easily be reached via Split Airport.
Spend your days cycling, and nights on board of our motor yacht, which will be accompanying you throughout the whole trip. On a romantic motor yacht - your floating accomodation – you discover the charm of the Adriatic in your own special way.
You cycle off after a hearty breakfast. At midday meet the ship at a harbour for lunch. In the evening the ship will be waiting in the next harbour, so that you can enjoy fantastic cuisine as the sun sets, followed by a stroll through the historic harbour town. Finally, settle down in your cabin to sleep - or stay on deck under a thousand stars....
Schedule

Day 1 Trogir - Rogoznica (approx. 7-17 km/4-11 mi. by bicycle)
Individual arrival, either by car to Trogir or by plane to Split. After checking in on the motor yacht at Trogir and a first lunch on board, our first cruise starts leading us to Rogoznica. In the afternoon we will start a round tour cycling along the wide bay; you may also visit the idyllic village in 150m of altitude.

Day 2 (Sun) Rogoznica – Primošten – Šibenik – Skradin, 12 + 10 km (7 + 6 mi.)
In the morning you will bike to Primošten. Your motor yacht will then take you through a narrow passage to Šibenik. After visiting the famous cathedral, your ship will take off again and advance further and further up the Krka river. In the evening you will arrive in Skradin, from where you will explore the magnificent lower waterfalls of Krka in the national park of the Canyon of Krka, a geological peculiarity under protection. Here the Krka meanders the first 10 km through a flat region, the following 40 km through canyons and then 20 km through lakes, which are connected with the Adriatic.

Day 3 (Mon) Vodice – Murter – Telašćica (approx. 27 km/17 mi. by bicycle)
In the morning we cycle from Vodice to the island of Murter, which is connected with the mainland by a lift bridge. We will meet the ship for dinner in a romantic quiet harbor. In the afternoon we go on a cruise through the national park of the Kornati islands, an archipelago of crystal clear waters known for its diverse flora and fauna. In the peaceful atmosphere of the Telašćica nature park we go for a walk along the impressing cliffs of the island.

Day 4 (Tue) Island of Dugi Otok (approx. 30 km-65 km/19-40 mi. by bicycle)
Our bike tour begins in Telašćica Nature Park along a virtually traffic-free road. Along a panoramic road, we ride clear across the island. During the ride we’re treated to countless unforgettable vistas of the islands in the deep blue sea. We meet our ship in the harbor of Savar and have lunch. Afterwards the ship takes us to Zadar, which, for centuries, was the political, cultural and spiritual centre of Dalmatia. Our tour guide takes us on an extensive walk through the lanes of the lively old centre. 3000 years of history have left their imprint on the character of this town and there are many things to be admired: the mighty fortified walls with their bastions, the loggia but also the early Romanesque St. Donatus Basilica.

Day 5 (Wed) Island Pašman and Ugljan – Skradin (Cycle Tour approx. 35 km/22 mi. by bicycle)
During the breakfast the boat will cross over to Island Ugljan situated at the channel of Zadar. Today we will have lots of cycling time to discover the two islands which are now connected by a bridge. Beautiful views to the sea and the opposite mainland will be enabled while cycling along the east coast. Afterwards our boat will pass Sibenik and the lower course of the river Krka; cruise along the river windings until we will reach Skradin.

Day 6 (Thurs) National Park of Krka – Island Zlarin (Cycle Tour approx. 31 km/19 mi.)
The magnificent port of Skradin is today’s start point for a wonderful morning cycle tour. We will cycle though forestry valleys to the Visovac- lake which is situated on the upper course of the river Krka. Here a bathing stop can be enjoyed. On calm roads and through introspective villages we will return to Skradin. In the afternoon we start from here to visit the most famous part of the National park of Krka with its unique waterfalls. Later on the boat will take us to the coral island Zlarin.

Day 7 (Fri) Island of Solta (approx. 15 or 40 km/9 or 25 mi. by bicycle)
In the morning our motor yacht will take us to island Solta. Olive and fig trees and farmland surround the streets. The spicy smell of lavender and rosmary will follow you throughout the whole tour around the silent island until we reach the village Grohote. During mid day our last cruise will take us back to Trogir. Here we will have enough time to visit the world cultural heritage and medieval old town. After dinner it is time to say good bye to crew and travel guides.

Day 8 (Sat) Departure
The guests are asked to check out after breakfast, i.e. at 9 am.

Alterations: We reserve the right to make alterations to the itinerary, depending on wind and weather conditions or organisational requirements.

| Difficulty |
Level 2: The bike routes require a basic level of fitness, which you should have acquired by occasional or daily cycling. The routes can reach an altitude of 100 – 300 metres. The daily routes, of 10-45 km (6-28 mi.), cover hilly terrain and can be completed without time constraints. You will also come across some rather steep climbs, where walking your bike is of course permitted. The roads are mostly asphalted and there is little traffic outside of holiday-periods. You can decide every day for yourself, whether you would like to cycle individually, using the maps provided, or join one of the tour guides (or individual participants). |

| Extra nights in Trogir or Split |
Would you like to be in Trogir some time before your tour or would you like to enjoy Dalmatia for some more days after your tour? In that case we suggest, to extend your holidays for some more days in Trogir - your embarkation and disbarkation port. The medieval town of Trogir is almost like a museum and belongs surely to the most worth seeing places in Croatia. The primal reason for that is its marvelously preserved old town, built on an island, which rates among the world heritage. Furthermore countless cafes invite you to relax with some coffee, icecream or a piece of cake. Trogir is also an ideal starting point for excursions to the next-door Split.
