The tour
1st day: Arrival in Munich
A visit to the fortress museum, Fortress Grünwald and the Bavaria Film City located nearby possible.

2nd day: Munich - Murnau am Staffelsee approx. 65 km (41 miles) by bike
Information, meeting and bike distribution. From Munich through the Forstenrieder Park to Lake Starnberg. From Starnberg on cycle path directly on the lake shore to Seeshaupt. On wonderful paths through unspoilt Bavarian villages, past the Oster Lakes and the Rieg See to Murnau am Staffelsee.

3rd day: Murnau -Garmisch Partenkirchen approx. 40 km (25 miles) by bicycle
At first through the nature reserve Murnauer Moos (biggest moor region in Central Europe). Continue through the unspoilt nature, following the river Loisbach to Garmisch Partenkirchen. This stage is short on purpose, so that you can take the Zugspitzbahn to the height of 2962 m. From there wonderful view of the Alps.

4th day: Garmisch Partenkirchen - Wallgau approx. 45 km (28 miles) on a bike
You bridge 300 meters of altitude to Scharnitz by train. From there slightly uphill through wildly romantic gorges and lush alpine fields to the source of the Isar. Back through the sunny high-lying valley with wonderful panoramas of the Karwendel and Wetterstein Mountains through Mittenwald (forest) to Wallgau - a village which still cultivates Bavarian tradition.

5th day: Wallgau - Bad Tölz approx. 50 km (31 miles) by bicycle
Past Isarwinkel, following the turquoise-blue water to the impressive Sylvenstein Lake, and through Lenggries across charming landscapes to Bad Tölz. The town on the junction of two trading routes, the Isar and the old salt route from Reichenhall to Allgäu, developed quickly into a blooming trading post. The richly ornamented middle class houses are evidence of the golden age.

6th day: Bad Tölz - Lake Tegern - Bad Tölz approx. 45 km (28 miles) biking
Through the charming landscape of Lake Tegern to Gmund am Tegernsee with a wonderful lake panorama. Along the Gaißbach Valley back again to Bad Tölz. The thermal springs of the famous spa "Alpamare" make tired muscles fit again. The Tölzer Market Street invites on a stroll in the footsteps of the famous television series "Der Bulle von Tölz" (The Cop from Tölz).

7th day: Bad Tölz - Munich/South approx. 65 km (41 miles) bike tour
The Isar cycle path takes you through Geretsried and Wolfratshausen to Grünwald. You have to overcome a few short ascents before reaching the Bavarian capital Munich with its numerous places of interest.
