The most beautiful stretches of the Danube Cycle path and the three capitals Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest are the highlights of this week of cycling. Accompanied by your 'swimming hotel' you are free to enjoy the tour of four countries with all comfort.
This journey takes you to the highlights along Europe’s second largest river – the Danube: The impressive spectacle of nature of the Schlögener Donauschlinge (= ”Great Loop”), the fascinating landscape of the Wachau with its vineyards, castles and palaces, the untouched alluvial forests of the Danube National Park as well as the picturesque Hungarian Danube bend are alternating with thriving metropolises such as Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. The wide stream of the Danube flows like a silver belt through Budapest separating the hilly Buda and the flat Pest.
The important cupola of the basilica in Esztergom salutes already from the distance. At the foot of the Carpathian Mountains the Slovak capitol Bratislava (former Pressburg) invites with its charming Old Town to a vast stroll. What about a small flirt with Vienna, City of Waltz? A firework of sightseeing, small dreamy coffee bars and cosy wine taverns are expecting you.nce the Nibelungen saga, it seems, the great river has
attracted and fascinated travelers. Relax on board your
floating hotel and enjoy spectacular natural scenery as you
gently cycle through wooded valleys lined with charming old
townships. You will pass historic castles and ruins, beautiful
churches and inspiring monasteries. Take this opportunity
to discover Vienna, the vibrant Austrian capital and cycle
along the banks of the delightful Blue Danube. Your cruise
on the My Story begins in Passau, leads you to the
Waltz-metropolis Vienna, continuing to Bratislava and Budapest to return once more to Passau. Enjoy the impressive and diverse scenery of the
most timeless river in Europe.
Your ship MS My Story
This is a very spacious ship of traditional shipbuilding skill with a very comfy atmosphere. On board the guest is king! Our crew is keen to satisfy every wish and makes a contribution to the unbelievable success of this voyage. On joining this popular vessel you are immediately aware of the cosy and informal ambience on board. The Sun Deck with its awnings allows you to enjoy the passing scenery in a very relaxed way and soak up the warmth. On deck there are both deck chairs and ordinary chairs and tables, which encourage conversation and communal activity in the fresh air. The Panorama Restaurant and the Panorama Lounge with its bar provide not only excellent food and drinks but also a sense of conviviality with old friends and new acquaintances.
Board equippment:
The ship offers Restaurant, Panorama-Bar, Sun deck with deck chairs and ordinary chairs and tables, Sauna.
Cabins: The comfortable 87 cabins (approx. 9 m²) are equipped with 1-2 low beds (during the day one bed can be fold to the wall), air conditioner, private facilities, TV, hairdryer. The windows can be opened in the cabins on the upper deck. Triple cabins are equipped with 2 lower beds and one folding bed above. For families the cabins with connecting door are very adequate.

Tour Description
Day 1: Passau
Arrival in the "3 river city" - embarkation 5 PM. Passau attracts with the world's greatest church organ at the Stephansdom and with it's charming Old Town. Cruise to Engelhartszell. Enjoy your first dinner on board.
Day 2: Engelhartszell – Aschach – Wien, bike leg approx. 40 km/25 miles
At Engelhartszell the bicycle tour commences through the romantic fluvial topography of the “Great Loop” which is one of the most beautiful and original sectors of the Danube with its small villages and cosy must taverns. You are boarding at the charming village Aschach and then you “sail” into the night.
Day 3: Vienna – Bratislava, bike leg approx. 55 – 75 km/34 -47 miles
City Tour with old timer ride and city walk (optional) In front of Vienna you can experience pure nature, wild and untamed at the National Park Donauauen, which is one of the last big unspoilt floodplains in Europe. Bratislava attracts at the destination and during a bus tour and walkabout in the evening (optional) you can discover hidden alleys, places and all the sights of this ambitious metropolis. Overnight you travel by ship to Budapest.
Day 4: Budapest (day of rest), Sight-seeing tour by bike or bus (at night) - optional In the morning you enjoy the panoramic view of the Danube bend´s gorgeous landscape. The gateway to Budapest is overwhelming: many of the famous tourist features are situated directly next to the shore. Take part in the optional city tour by bike if you wish. Nearby you find the Margaretheninsel which is outstandingly qualified for small bike tours. The market hall – called “the stomach of Budapest” – is attracting with Hungarian pleasures and handcraft. During a city tours at night (optional) you can experience the illuminated Budapest.
Day 5: Visegrad – Esztergom, bike leg approx 24 – 57 km/15 - 36 miles
The most fit ciyclists will be leaving Budapest by bike and the others if they wish, can shorten the tour by staThe Danube bend is definitely one of most delightful and attractive parts and is called the Hungarian Wachau. Today’s bike leg starts at Visegrad with its famous fortress and the ruins of the former palace. You can choose from 2 different routes: the longer one includes a side trip to the island of Szentendre and the baroque village of Vác which has been influenced by the architects of Austria’s empress Maria Theresia. The other route leads you directly to the bishop-town of Esztergom with its gorgeous basilica – Hungary’s largest Catholic Church – overlooking the village.
Day 6: Vienna (day of rest), Sightseeing tour by bike or bus – Evening Waltz concert (optional) Discover Vienna´s most beautiful points. During a city tour by bike or by bus you will experience pretty closely the most famous examples of architecture: the imperial Hofburg, St. Stephens Cathedral, the gorgeous boulevard “Ringstraße” with the State Opera House, the Burgtheater and town hall as well as the colorful “Hunderwasserhaus” and the Ferris wheel, which is situated directly at the Prater. Relaxation can be found at one of the numberless small coffee bars. The evening ends impressively with a Waltz- and Opera Concert at the Wiener Hofborg (optional) or at a wine tavern.
Day 7: Wachau - Krems – Melk, bike leg approx 36 km/23 miles
Affected by small dreamy towns, apricot trees, vineyards, castles, monasteries and ruins this hilly landscape is enchanting everybody. This is pure biking enjoyment! In Spitz you will find comfy wine taverns directly besides the bike path. Take a break - you should owe it to yourself! You have to walk your bike through Dürnstein´s narrow alleys. King Richard Lionheart was not really voluntary a guest here during mediaeval times. At the end of this stage there is Melk with its gorgeous baroque monastery of the Benedictine monkhood. After a ceremonial gala dinner lots of fun and entertainment can be experienced on board during a show.
Day 8: Passau - End of trip.
Relaxed, being rested and definitely being in good spirits you will attain Passau in the late morning. Arrival approx 11:00 am, disembarkation half an hour after arrival. We recommend making reservations for onward travels not before 1:00 p.m. After 1:00 p.m. all connections and arrangements shall be met in a timely matter.

operation expenses and taxes, including harbor and docking fees, increased fuel prices, as well as
currency exchange rates. Prices will never be increased
within 20 days of departure. A price increase will only occur if there is more than 4 months between the booking and the trip departure,
and the increased expenses have not yet been taken into account, and were at the time unforeseeable.

passing through a certain area, some parts can
be negotiated via bus (free of charge).
General Tips
The arrival and departure to and from Passau is
your responsibility. Boarding in Passau is in the
afternoon, and debarking in Passau is at
approximately 2:30pm. The bicycle tours are
not guided. All distances are approximate of the
suggested route. Please also note that storage
capacity in the cabins is limited (folding bags are
recommended). Within your luggage, good rain
clothes (coat and pants) are a must, as well as
sunscreen, sun hat and athletic shoes.

The bike tours by boat are unguided. All riding distances are "approximate distances" of recommended tours. Please note that the cabin storage space is very limited. In your holiday luggage must include good rain gear (jacket and pants), a bicycle helmet, hat and sunscreen, sports shoes.
For extreme high or low water reserves, the shipping company the right to bridge sections by bus and / or in extreme cases, the travel at short notice without suggests there is a legal right. (Water level is higher power). The same applies in officially ordered in advance undisclosed locks and / or bridge repairs or involuntary motor or drive damage the ship.
Please keep in mind that your river vessel of a hand, your "Vacation Hotel", on the other hand, is also working device, however, which will be propelled by engine power and continuously, even at night (some with locks and under bridges) operated must. Noise-sensitive guests, we recommend you bring earplugs. (The lock crossings are associated with disturbances, which, in all Danube cruises like this - and not to change, unfortunately!). Bike helmets are mandatory in Slovakia! In Austria helmets for children up to 12 years are mandatory!
